Last Sunday we took Crista on her first visit to the pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful day and we had lots of fun! I think Crista's favorite part of our trip was the apple cider slushies and apple doughnuts. They were delicious!
Crista was in her room, playing quitely, TOO quitely. So I went in to check on her and she was stacking blocks. She had 6 blocks stacked up when I entered the room. Crista just grinned at me, like she was so proud of her accomplishments!
Play Time!
Crista still loves her rocking horse and has learned how to climb on and off by herself. She's getting to be such a big girl, and very independent!
One of Crista's favorite things to do is get in my tupperware cabinet and pull out as many pieces as she can. Then she gets the organizer and pulls it out and sits in it. It doesn't look too comfortable to me but she loves it!
I asked Crista how old she is and this is what she did. I didn't even know she knew that!
Waking up is hard to do...
This is Crista first thing in the morning. She doesn't want to get out of the crib right away, and she doesn't want me leave the room either. If I try to get her out, she'll run away from me into the corner of the crib where she wants all her friends around her. After a couple of minutes, she'll want to get out and is ready for the day. Don't you just love the hair?!
On the rare occasion Crista wakes up before I get my shower, this is how I occupy her until I'm finished getting ready. A friend gave us several Cedarmont Kid's videos and Crista is completely mesmerized by them.
Crista has been refusing broccli from day one so imagine my surprise when she asked for some off of my plate! Her and Reese both enjoyed dipping their broccli in dressing and eating it...and then asking for more!
"See Mama, I ate it. Its gone!"
Special times with Mamma & Pappa.
I always look forward to Crista's bath because we start winding down for the day. I put Jake in charge of the evening rituals (snack, bath, story, bed) but I think he missed the memo on this being winding down time. Crista was wired from all the excitement!
First it started with the tickling...
Then it was playtime in Crista's room...
It quickly progressed to Crista being chased by Jake...
Then Crista hid from Jake, terrified he was gonna get her...
And when he didn't come after her, she went for him!
Even though this wasn't my idea of pre-bedtime activity, its always special to spend quality time with your child. Hearing her giggle and scream from excitement was completely worth it!
Now THIS is more along the lines of what I was thinking!
Another week has flown by. Its amazing how quickly children change, grow and learn! What an incredible responsibility it is to raise up a child!
