Halloween Is Coming...

This week Crista went to her very first Halloween party! Crista "dressed up" like a princess for the occasion. Crista had fun and loved all the scarey halloween decorations. She also went on her first hayride. I wasn't sure how she'd do on it since there were men with chainsaws who jumped out from the cornfields. While everyone else was screaming, Crista was signing "more!". She loved it! Here are just a few pictures of the party.

Crista is definitely a toddler now, there is nothing baby about her anymore! She's really into climbing now and loves to stand on the window sill in our living room. She likes to look out the window and see what's going on in the neighborhood.

Just a random picture. I love those dark eyes!

A friend gave us some cupcakes to snack on this week. Last time I tried to give Crista cake she really didn't care for it. I was wondering how she'd do this time...

The verdict is in and...she likes it!

Every once in a while I catch the girls being really sweet. This week they really liked holding hands. Crista's short little legs just couldn't keep up though. The girls would get to running and down she'd go. Crista would just laugh and get up, grab Reese's hand and start running again!

Jake and I bought Crista a couple of baby doll bottles so she can feed her babies. One afternoon, Crista brought the bottle to Jake, climbed up in his lap and wanted him to feed her the bottle! Its been over 2 months since we took her bottle away and never once has she cried for it. I guess this brought back warm memories for Crista (and us too!)

Crista is becoming quite the little helper! She LOVES to help me in the kitchen. When she hears the dishwater running, she comes in and asked for her step stool. I pull it up to the sink and she hands me all the clean dishes in the sink, one by one. Then we wash the dirty dishes and Crista points out all the bubbles I missed when rinsing them. She also likes to help me bake. She had a little bowl and whisk she gets out and cooks next to me. But I really think she just wants to be close so she can lick the spoon!

Just another Saturday evening...It was cold and rainy last night so we decided it was best to keep Crista in. Jake's parents came over with pizza and we had a great time eating and playing. Here are a few pictures to share...

Crista got her first piece of Halloween mail yesterday. It was from my mom and inside the package was this pretty dress! She's already worn it twice. I wanted to get a really good picture of her in it but do you know how hard it is to get an almost 15 month old to sit still?? This is the best I could do...

You want a picture of me?? You'll have to catch me first!

I'll tell you what I can do for you. I'll let you take a picture of the back of my dress. Hahaha!

What? This picture is for Grandma? Why didn't you say so!

This one's for you, Grandma! CHEESE!

And thank you for my dress!

Stay tuned for more Halloween pictures. I just finished Crista's costume yesterday and its really cute! We're not telling what she's going to be but I'll give you a hint...
"Over the head the costume goes. Down the road, look out for foes!"

If you think you know what Crista's going to be, e-mail me. I'd love to hear your guesses!! (e-mail address is on the upper right side of the blog)
