Friday Nights

How do you know when you have an addiction? When your idea of a great Friday night is learning something new in Photoshop. Yup, that's me. Addicted.

This is how I spent my Friday evening:
1. Put Crista to be early. No nap=grouch!
2. Went ran to my computer to start up photoshop.
3. After about an hour, this is what I ended up with...

I love the vintage feel to it! It needs a little tweaking, but overall I'm happy with my first attempt!

Another Crista Story:

A couple of weeks ago the family was riding back from our weekly grocery trip. I gave Crista a bag of Cheerios as a snack and she ate them quietly. All of a sudden she screamed, threw down her Cheerios, and started crying, obviously frustrated.

I asked, "What's wrong, Crista?

She replied, "My poke won't stay."

I looked at Jake. Jake looked at me. We both shrugged our shoulders and said something like, "Sorry."

Fast forward 1 week.

Again, coming back from our weekly grocery run, Crista in her carseat content with these little tiny stickers Long John's gives away in their kid's meal. Crista is REALLY quiet. We're just thankful for the peace!

All of a sudden, Crista sneezes some 10 times in a row.

I turn around, noticing Crista's finger up her nose, and ask, "Crista, did you put something in your nose."

All I got was a blank stare.

Again, more sneezes.

I ask again, "Did you put a sticker in your nose?"

"It was a poke, Mama, just like Kylie's!" Kylie is a 20 year old from our church that Crista loves. She has a "poke" which I later found out is what our sweet daughter calls a nose earring.

Thanks, Kylie! :-)

After a week of having a runny nose and 10 days of antibiotics, I'm happy to say that Crista is poke free (and she better stay that way until, well...until I'm dead!)
