2 Years!!
Do you know what you were doing exactly 2 years ago? I know what I was doing. Its been forever imprinted on my heart. Exactly 2 years ago Crista was placed into my arms for the first time! What an incredible, life-changing day that was! Crista has grown and changed in every way imaginable! This year Crista mastered potty training in 2 days, learned her ABC's and how to count to 20. She became a pro at the tantrum and the fake smile. Crista's vocabulary went from about 85 words this time last year to an infinite number, using whole complete sentences, and astonishing complete strangers with her verbal skills. She's one smart cookie and proclaims she'll be going to preschool when she turns 3. Crista enrolled in gymnastics this year and even her instructor calls her a "Monkey"! Crista has branched out socially and has playgroup once a week with 4 of her friends. Crista understands she was born in Guatemala and loves the fact that 2 of her friends are from Guatemala too! She has a zest for life that is evident when she greets me each morning with her best smile, ready for the day. She adores her grandparents, all 4 of them, and even her "adopted" grandparents from church. Crista loves anything artsy and kittens. Lovie is still her "Honey", as she calls her, and can't live without her.
