Crista's Georgia Trip!

Help me! I'm being arrested...on grounds that I'm TOO CUTE!!! This is cousin Randy holding Crista. Even though he is a real police officer, Crista doesn't look too intimidated!

We just returned on Tuesday from a week down in Georgia. Jake had to work so it was just us girls. We had a wonderful trip and counting down the days until we go again (19 days!).

Here are a few pictures of Crista primping and getting ready for our flight. I don't know if you have noticed in previous posts, but Crista has some problem hair. It likes to stick straight up! Our daily beauty ritual is a necessity before leaving the house. First we wet her hair down, then we gel it, then we spray it and top it off with a bow. After all of that, we're ready to leave the house :-)

Waiting for our flight. She had to have been the cutest kid in the entire Atlanta airport!!

We're off to Georgia!!

Crista enjoyed playing outside and was intrigued by the pine cones. I kept warning her that they were prickly but it didn't seem to bother her. She became friends with one and carried it around the backyard.

The grandparents set up a sandbox for Crista to play in. Crista really enjoyed playing in the sand.

What IS this stuff??

It's got me! I can't get it off! HELP ME!

I think I like it, maybe.

Yeah, I do like it.

I love it! Thank you Grandpa & Grandma!

It was so hot and Crista was sweaty so the sand really stuck to her. Our next door neighbors invited us to use the pool anytime we wanted, so we took them up on the offer. We dunked Crista right in and rinsed off all that sand. Bet the neighbors are wondering where all that sand came from :-)

Another reason we went down to Georgia was to witness a historic event...my younger brother graduated from college! Even though we're huge Florida Gator fans, Marcus went to UGA for his degree. I think Crista was a little disappointed when she found out we were going to Athens rather than Gainsville...

"What do you mean the University of GEORGIA??? Dawgs drool ya know!"

But Crista agreed to go to his graduation in spite of its location.

"Fine, I'll go, but I'm going under protest!"

"I'm so proud of you Uncle Marcus!"

Congratulations Uncle Marcus!

2007 Graduate

The next few pictures are of Crista helping my mom and me clean Bethel Lutheran Church for the first time. She'll make the 4th generation to clean the church! Crista loves to clean, just give her a wash rag and let her go! She's still trying to master the broom and dustpan! She's such a good helper!!

Take a good look. This may be the only time you see Crista smiling while cleaning a toilet!

While in Georgia, we got to celebrate Crista's first birthday with my family. We all went over to my cousin Abby's house and had a wonderful dinner together. We also had presents and cake with ice cream! Crista was in a really good mood and loved playing with her older cousins. I think they enjoyed chasing her around the house too!

Opening presents! Crista knew what to do this time!

The cake was yummy! Even though Crista still didn't want to eat any of it. She's not too fond of sweets...yet!

The youngest generation. Its hard to believe that we're all parents now (or soon will be)!

One of my favorite pictures! What beautiful children we're blessed with!

So long, Georgia family, its been fun. Can't wait to see you again soon!
