Goin' On A God Hunt!

Here's the conversation I had with Crista yesterday...

C: Mama, where is God?
Me: Well, He's everywhere!
C: Oh! Let's go find Him!!

So I promised my inquisitive child that we would
indeed go find Him
after church today. So Crista and I went on a God hunt!

I asked Crista to keep her eyes open
for anything
that might remind her of God.
She immediately
pointed to the light in our side yard.

"Yes, Crista! God sent Jesus as a light into the world!"

We searched a little longer and found
a white rock
and I explained that we all do things we shouldn't do

and that makes us dirty.

But God forgives us and washes us so we can be

clean like the white rock!

Crista soon came across an old glass bottle.
It just happened to be blue,
her favorite color...
and she was delighted!
"Crista, God loves to give you gifts
and He knows how happy
it makes you to find little
blue treasures!"

In all of our 9 acres, there is only
ONE
tree with tiny little buds on them.
The hope of new growth.
The hope that spring is coming.
The hope that God will renew us
each day!

On our hike back to the house,
Crista found
a walking stick.
"It's helping me walk, Mama!"
Just like God helps us when we
ask
Him too!

When we got back to the house,
we sat in the
big swing together.
We talked about all our treasures from our
God hunt.
"So, Crista...where IS God?"
"Mama, He's EVERYWHERE!!"

Crista and I talked more about this and
I informed her
that God can live
in her heart
and all she has to do
is ask.
So my inquisitive, precious, tender hearted
little girl
prayed
that God would come and live in her heart.
WOW!!

It is certainly a praise-worthy Sunday!
