Thankful Thursday
On Sunday Jake and I will celebrate our 6th anniversary! Today I am SOOO thankful that God chose Jake to be the one I fall asleep next to every night, to share my joys of the day with, and to be my partner as we raise our precious daughter together. Jake is a wonderful father, but is an amazing husband...so strong, so godly. Jake exemplifies Ephesians 5:25 which says, "Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church—a love marked by giving, not getting." And I'm proud that Crista has the opportunity to see each day how a man should love and treat his wife. What a high bar Jake has unknowingly set for Crista's future husband!!
I'm so thankful that Jake and I are still best friends after 6 years of marriage. I love the way he understands me...like my NEED for orange Tic-Tacs. And how patient he is when I tend to be a perfectionist and nothing seems to go the way I want. Jake has taught me to relax and enjoy each moment we have with each other and with Crista. How blessed and thankful I am today because of this wonderful gift I have in Jake!
