Thankful Thursday
Psalm 37:4 says, "Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart." This verse is why I am so very thankful today. I prayed fervently for several years that God would grant me this one request, to become a mommy. This desire was overwhelming at times but I clung to His promise, knowing that one day I would have a child to love. I will never forget the moment all my prayers came to fruition, and I was handed this perfect, tiny baby girl. She looked up at me with her big brown doe eyes and at that exact moment an instant bond was formed as if I had carried her for 9 months and had just given birth to her myself. What a special gift adoption has been in my life!
