Happenings This Week

We've had another busy week at our house but oh the joy of raising a child!!

You're probably wondering why Crista is eating an M&M. It's because she went tinkle on the potty, twice! Crista came to me, said "Potty" and took me to her little potty chair. She sat right down and then went! So I rewarded her with two M&M's. I gave her a bath after that and when she asked for more "M's" I told her she could get more when she goes on the potty again. So, she went to her potty chair and went, again!! I couldn't believe it! Then she wouldn't let me put her diaper on. She wanted panties! Good thing I had some pull-ups on hand!

Then Crista made a few calls.

And told them she had on panties!

Trying one more time. Can you see the blue around her mouth from the M&M's?!

This week we also baked cookies. I had some real good help!

Enjoying the fruits of our labor.

Just look at that grin! Crista really liked them!

The girls were real sweet this week and played well together.

And it snowed, AGAIN! There's only one good thing about snow days...SNOW cones! We made real snow cones with fresh snow and cool-aid. Crista loved it and kept asking for "Ice" all week!

Good to the last drop!

We also painted (with water). Crista's becoming quiet the artist! She loves anything artsy (coloring, painting, glueing) so I'm trying to do something creative with her and Reese everyday.

Then we did one of Crista's favorite activities, stickers. She loves to stick them in her sticker book.

And on her nose!

FYI: My velcro baby is back! Haven't seen her in many, many months. Although I'm not complaining too much. I've really enjoyed the extra snuggle time with her this week. She actually asked me to rock her twice yesterday (she usually likes her stories, prayer, and then she points to the bed and says "Night-night".) And the most common phrase in our house this week was "hold you". That's how Crista asks to be held. I'm sure its just a phase but I'm going to hold her as much and as long as she'll let me!
