It's Beginning To Look Alot Like Christmas...

On Friday we put up our Christmas decorations. Jake and I had more fun this year than ever before because we saw everything through Crista's eyes. She was amazed at the all the lights and decorations. She learned a new word on Friday..."WOW!!" She kept looking at the tree and saying "wow!" You can even see her saying it in some of the pictures! Everything is new and exciting for her, and Crista's excitement is so contagious!!

Putting up the tree. Crista was a big help!

"What you doing, Daddy?"

"Humm, this tree has lights on it. Strange."

"Everybody doing OK in there?"

"WOW!"

"I still don't get the lights on the tree."

"That is one tall tree! And what's it doing in the living room?"

"Wow, look at all those lights!"

"You need some help, Mama?"

"I will help you!"

"Is this helping? Oh, it's NOT helping?"

"Then I'll help Daddy!"

"I Like all these boxes in the house. Now I can finally see what's up here!"

"Who me? Touching? I'm just LOOKING!"

Our finished tree.

And our family Christams stockings.

Yesterday Jake's family did their Thanksgiving meal. We had a wonderful time eating and catching up. All 3 girls were able to be there! They had a blast playing together and the adults had a blast watching them play! Here's a picture of the girls from yesterday.

This one was taken on July 4. They've all lost that "baby" look to me.

Crista loved playing in Aunt Pat's play house. I think she stayed in it most of the day!

Crista grabbed Aunt Marla's hand and led her to the floor to play. How could you ever say no to her??

The girls played all afternoon together.

And guess who didn't take a nap, again??!!

Our sweet little Crista. It was such a busy week with Thanksgiving and putting up our decorations. She's been a trooper, though. Not fussing at all that we've had her off her schedule. We sure do have a special little girl in our lives! It still amazes me to think of all the children in the world that need a home. In Guatemala alone, there are over 5,000 orphans waiting for a family. And of all those children, God chose one special baby for us. One little girl to fill our lives with love and laughter. How incredibly blessed we are that THIS child was the one created for us!
